Bruns-Whiddon Scholarship

Mrs. Joyce Whiddon Bruns, a 1967 Radford alumna, established this scholarship in order to help students in special education or communication sciences disorders. The scholarship was named in honor of her grandparents, who were influential in raising her, and in honor of her husbandäó»s parents. Mrs. Bruns was a special education major, a member of the Radford University Foundation Board of Directors and recipient of the RU Foundationäó»s Lifetime Achievement Award. She served as chair of the Foundation Scholarship Selection committee. Mrs. Bruns died in September of 2000.

Applicants must be a full-time student with have upper-class status, maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA and must be an Interdisciplinary Studies Major with a concentration in Special Education or a Communication Sciences and Disorders major.
