Sandi McPherson Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship Information

Friends and family established the Sandi McPherson Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund for a Recreation and Leisure Services Major. Sandi McPherson was President of Radford University Class of 1970, the year of her graduation. She was active in Parks and Recreation, an area she made many contributions to throughout her lifetime. She was a long-standing professional member of the Virginia Recreation and Parks Society and served on the Board of Trustees. She was responsible for the creation of programs, parks, and new facilities. Ms. McPherson died in February 1995. She will always be remembered for her love of work and her love for helping others.

Scholarship Criteria

• Applicant must declare a major in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism.
• The award is renewable if the student remains in good academic standing and maintains good conduct at Radford University.
