Shelby Carolyn Darnell Gibson Elementary Education Scholarship

Scholarship Information

The Shelby Carolyn Darnell Gibson Scholarship for Elementary Education was established in memory of Carolyn by her daughter, Kathryn Gibson. Carolyn earned her degree in Elementary Education in 1970 from Radford College and taught elementary school for 30 years. This scholarship will support students who aspire to be elementary school teachers and make a difference in the lives of young children.

Scholarship Criteria

• Pursuing a degree in Elementary Education.
• Overall GPA requirement 3.0.
• First-year students are eligible for consideration.
• Scholarship is renewable; must reapply.
