Jason Rooker Memorial Scholarship in Music Therapy

Scholarship Information

Greg and Fran `79, Rooker, established this scholarship in memory of their son Jason who died in a tragic accident. This scholarship will assist RU music majors with concentrations in music therapy. The Rookers recognize the importance of music therapy in the wellness and healing of society. The scholarship will therefore not only impact and serve the academic and artistic needs of music students at Radford but will significantly aid the communities that comprise Southwest Virginia.

Scholarship Criteria

• Applicant must be a declared Music major with a Music Therapy concentration.
• Meet requirements for acceptance into upper-level undergraduate or Master’s-level degree program in music therapy.
• Applicant must also have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
