Kevin "West" Bowers Endowed Scholarship in Communication

Scholarship Information *

Family, friends, former students, and colleagues of Kevin “West” Bowers established this scholarship in 2023 to carry on his legacy in the School of Communication. Dr. Bowers taught at Radford for 12 years before his passing at age 42. He loved interacting with and mentoring his students. His compassionate nature and willingness to go above and beyond for his students created a bond that extended far beyond the classroom.

*Scholarship Criteria

• Incoming freshman undergraduate student majoring in Communication.
• High school GPA of 3.5 or higher
• Student must demonstrate financial need.
• FAFSA required.
