Scholarship Information

Jeanne Simmons Armentrout established the Simmons Family Scholarship to honor her parents, Bill and Ruth Simmons. Ms. Armentrout graduated from Radford University in 1981 with a degree in Nursing and received her M.S. in Nursing from the University of Virginia. She is a successful healthcare professional and Radford University Board of Visitors member. The Simmons Family Fund scholarship will support students who want to pursue a degree in the Health Sciences with preference given to a first-generation student from Giles County.

Scholarship Criteria

• Pursuing a degree in the Health Sciences (Nursing, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, etc.)
• Overall GPA requirement of 3.0
