The Honorable James C. Turk & Barbara D. Turk Visual & Performing Arts Scholarship

Scholarship Information

The Honorable James C. and Barbara D. Turk established this scholarship to benefit student at Radford University who are majoring in discipline within the College of Visual and Performing Arts. Judge Turk was a member of the Virginia State Senate and served as a U.S. District Judge for the Western District of Virginia. He served on the Athletic Association’s Advisory Council, and on the Radford University Foundation Board of Directors. Mrs. Turk served on the Arts Society Campaign Committee, and on the Radford University Board of Visitors. Both Judge and Mrs. Turk were avid supporters of Radford University and of the Arts. .

Scholarship Criteria

• The Honorable James C. and Barbara D. Turk established this scholarship to benefit students at Radford University who are majoring in a discipline within the College of Visual and Performing Arts.
• Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
