The Virginia Louise Carter Hills Endowed Scholarship in Literacy Education

Scholarship Information *

Mrs. Hills, a founding member of the Radford Alumnae Club, earned her Bachelor of Science degrees in both Science and English from Radford College in 1942. She went on to receive her Masters of Science in 1951 from Catholic University. In addition to having held the position as Head Librarian for the National Geographic Society, Mrs. Hills worked with numerous community projects and charitable organizations. Mrs. Hills passed away in 2005.
