Dr. David E. Hill Scholarship for Residential Leadership & Service

Scholarship Information

The National Residence Hall Honorary established this scholarship in honor of Dr. David E. Hill in recognition for his outstanding service to the University. Fundraising efforts included the sale of welcome and exam care packages. Dr. Hill was surprised at a Banquet during which the students presented him with a check announcing the creation of the scholarship. Dr. Hill came to Radford University in 1981 as the Director of Residential Life and now serves as the Assistant Vice President for University Services. This scholarship will recognize outstanding student leadership at Radford University.

Scholarship Criteria

  • Must be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior enrolled full-time at Radford University.
  • Must currently have and maintain a 2.70 GPA.
  • Must not be, nor ever have been, on 20 weeks or more of disciplinary probation or suspension from any academic institution of higher learning.
  • Must be currently living in University housing and must have lived a minimum of two semesters in the residence halls (the current semester may also be included) and must plan to return to University housing.
  • Must have displayed exemplary service and leadership to the Radford University residence hall system, including involvement in Residential Life, National Residence Hall Honorary, Residence Hall Association, Residence Hall Council, and/or related activities.
