Scholarship Information

Mr. David L. Williams created this scholarship in honor of his first wife, Sharon Murdoch Williams, Radford University class of 1968. He wanted to provide support for student who have been or currently are involved in the AASIS Program.

Scholarship Criteria

  • Students with junior or senior standing who have been or currently are a mentor in the AASIS Program
  • Good academic standing
  • Financial need (FAFSA not required)
  • Two letters of recommendation; one from the AASIS mentor supervisor and an additional letter from a faculty member chosen by the student. Recommendations will address the observed current strengths and skills, and assess the student’s potential future success.
  • Must submit a one-page essay outlining the skills the AASIS Program helped the student develop and how they have impacted their mentee.
  • Scholarship is renewable if the student continues to meet all eligibility criteria.
