George Everett & Matsue Yamazaki Dewese Scottish Rite Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship Information

Mr. Dewese attended Auburn High School and this scholarship is intended for students from Montgomery County, with preference going to students from Shawsville and Auburn High Schools. The Deweses established the scholarship because they were interested in business and they were not able to attend college. Mr. Dewese was a 33 degree Scottish Rite Freemason.

Shawsville residents George and Matsue Dewese established this scholarship to assist students in their pursuit of a degree in Business or Economics at Radford University.

Scholarship Criteria

• Applicants must be a full-time student enrolled at Radford University.
• Applicants must remain in good academic standing.
• Under normal circumstances must have a minimum GPA of 2.8 prior to the beginning of senior year.
• The scholarship(s) will be awarded annually to students from Shawsville and Auburn High Schools.
