Dr. William Bishop Memorial Nursing Scholarship

Scholarship Information

Dr. Bishop was a local ENT physician who mentored many Radford University Nursing students. When Dr. Bishop passed away in 2014 the New River Valley Health Foundation created this scholarship in his memory. His wife, Beverly Bishop, also contributed to the scholarship. They wanted to provide financial assistance to Nursing students to honor his memory.

Scholarship Criteria

• All admitted Nursing students are eligble; however, students who are in the RN-BSN Program and meet all requirements will be given preferential consideration.
• Nursing students who are permanent residents of the City of Radford and the Counties of Floyd, Giles, Montgomery, and Pulaski are eligible.
• Overall GPA requirement 3.0.
• Scholarship is renewable, but students must apply each year and is not guaranteed to be renewed.
