Harold and Vera Gardner Family Scholarship in Education Fund

Scholarship Information

Penelope Gardner created this scholarship in 2012 to honor her parents, Harold and Vera Gardner. Ms. Gardner is a 1975 Radford University graduate who majored in Recreation, Parks and Tourism and went on to obtain a MBA from Duke University. This scholarship is available to any college within Radford University. Preference will be given to majors in either the College of Education and Human Development or the Davis College of Business and Economics.

Scholarship Criteria

• Participates in a leadership role in University extracurricular, academic or community activities.
• Produce an article or written testimonial of 500 words or more about the personal impact and the value of this scholarship to the applicants/recipient’s benefit of receiving this award. This acknowledgement must be delivered to the Office of Financial Aid, and/or their designee as an acknowledgment of the scholarship.
