Jumpmaster Ron Gross Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship Information

This scholarship was established in memory of Harold Ronald Gross, of Radford University, who died in a skydiving accident in 1993. Ron had been a skydiver since 1991, and was one of the youngest divers to be qualified by the U.S. Parachute Association as a jumpmaster. He was a member of the drama club and defensive captain of the varsity lacrosse team at West Potomac High School. At Radford, he was a founding member of Sigma Pi Sigma social fraternity. Faculty and students alike spoke very highly of him and his enthusiasm for Radford.

Scholarship Criteria

  • Applicants for this scholarship must be a full-time student.
  • Have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
  • The scholarship is open to students intending to, or currently pursuing a degree in the College of Business and Economics.
