The Avery and Bea Yates McClanahan Endowed Scholarship Fund

Scholarship Information

Dr. Charlene M. Lutes, Professor Emeritus of Biology and genetics, established this endowment to support a Radford student pursuing a major in the College of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Lutes is a Woodrow Wilson Fellow, a National Science Foundation Graduate Fellow, and a National Science Foundation Cooperative Graduate Fellow. Currently, Dr. Lutes resides with her husband in Auckland New Zealand.

Scholarship Criteria

  • Must have and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Must not be, or have been, on disciplinary probation or suspension from any academic institution.
  • Must be pursuing a major within the Artis College of Science and Technology.
  • The scholarship is renewable if the student continues to meet the criteria.
