Teachers for Tomorrow
Scholarship Information
Beginning in the fall of 2016, the College has created partnerships with Teachers For Tomorrow (TFT) programs across southwestern Virginia. Through these partnerships, Radford University teacher education majors work directly with TFT cohorts of juniors and seniors in high school to offer them a glimpse of the student experience in the College’s Teacher Education Program through campus tours, classroom observations and meetings with the College’s faculty and students. There are also opportunities for the high school students participating in the TFT program to attend campus events such as the prestigious McGlothlin Awards Celebration and National History Day. The program provides recruiting support through “pipeline” scholarships for students who successfully complete TFT programs in their high schools and then enroll in Radford University’s Teacher Education Program. The donors wanted to provide scholarships for students in the TFT program that were pursuing a degree in the School of Teacher Education.
