Josie P. Murrin Scholarship

Scholarship Information

Mrs. Murrin’s husband, Robert J. Murrin, served as the Radford University director of development from 1984 until his death in 1991. Mr. Murrin was also a former member of the University’s Board of Visitors, and was the motivating force behind the Radford University Foundation’s $1 million Dalton Eminent Scholar Campaign. Under his guidance, the Radford University Foundation saw unprecedented growth. Mr. Murrin is remembered for his special fondness for Radford’s students. His son, Robert Jr., graduated from Radford in 1978, followed by his daughter JoEllen in 1979.

Scholarship Criteria

• Recipient must be a full-time Radford University student.
• Recipient must not be, nor ever have been, on disciplinary probation.
• Must maintain a minimum 2.5 overall GPA.
