Northern Shenandoah Valley Area Scholarship

Scholarship Information

This scholarship was created through leadership gifts from National Fruit Products, the Frank Armstrong family, the Harry Smith 77 family, alumni, banks and area businesses, friends, and former parents. Mr. Armstrong served as a Tri-Chair of the Radford University Capital Campaign.

The scholarship was designed to help students from the Shenandoah Valley area in their pursuit of higher education.

Scholarship Criteria

  • Must be an incoming, admitted Radford University freshman or transfer student.
  • Must have a 3.0 GPA.
  • Must be from the Northern Shenandoah Valley, Virginia area, including the counties of Frederick, Clarke, Warren, Shenandoah or the city of Winchester.
  • Must demonstrate leadership abilities in extracurricular and community service activities.
  • Must provide a recommendation from a guidance counselor or faculty member.
  • Scholarship renewable upon maintaining the 3.0 GPA.
