John E. Davis and Charles W. McClellan Scholarship for World History

Scholarship Information

This scholarship commemorates the friendship between two colleagues in the Department of History, both dedicated to world history. John Davis, a Europeanist and Charles McClellan, an Africanist, each of whom devoted nearly 40 years of service to Radford University.

Scholarship Criteria

  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior with a declared History major.
  • Must excel in World History, and demonstrate a strong interest in and probability of doing graduate work in the area of study.
  • Recipient must have and maintain a 3.0 GPA overall and in the major.
  • Award may be renewable if recipient continues to meet criteria.
  • Must reapply to be considered.
