Hazel Webb McCorkle Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship Information

Ms. McCorkle was a 1917 graduate of Radford and went on to become a teacher. Her son, George McCorkle, later established a book fund at the library in her memory. In 1989, the book fund was turned over into a scholarship to provide funds for students interested in pursuing elementary education.

Scholarship Criteria

• Must be full-time.
• Have been admitted to the Teacher Education Program.
• Be pursuing an Early Education Certification option.
• Must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.
