Mary R. Coppedge-Kathryn C. Parks Scholarship

Scholarship Information

Kathryn C. Parks created this scholarship in loving memory of her mother, Mary Richardson Coppedge. Mrs. Coppedge died in 1999 at the age of 99. She graduated from Radford in 1921 and was also instrumental in her daughter Kathryn’s decision to attend Radford. Mrs. Parks graduated from RU in 1945. She and her husband, Vivian Parks established this scholarship to aid and encourage students in the Teacher Education Program at her alma mater, and as a lasting tribute to her mother.

Scholarship Criteria

  • Applicants must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Be admitted to the Teacher Education Program.
  • Must be pursuing teacher licensure.
  • Must not be, nor ever have been, on disciplinary probation or suspension from any academic institution of higher learning.
  • FAFSA required.
