Lorena L. Roberts McGarvey Scholarship

Scholarship Information

Mrs. McGarvey is a 1962 RU graduate who majored in interdisciplinary studies. She is a retired teacher. She wanted to assist Radford University students who are pursuing a career in elementary education. Mrs. McGarvey is also a member of RU Society of 1910, a society formed for donors who have included Radford in their estate plans.

Scholarship Criteria

• Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student at Radford University majoring in Elementary Education.
• Applicant must be pursuing a teaching degree.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Individuals who are deserving and hardworking, show leadership abilities and good moral character, as demonstrated through letters of reference or other means.
