Dorothy Gillespie Scholarship in Art

Scholarship Information

Gary Israel created this scholarship to honor the memory of his mother, Dorothy Gillespie. He wanted to preserve her legacy as a significant female artist. Her art was enormous both in volume and in scale. Radford University meant a lot to Dorothy Gillespie and she loved the students. She donated several works of art to the University. Gary wanted Radford University to play a part in keeping her name and legacy alive.

Scholarship Criteria

• The scholarship is for a full-time undergraduate or graduate.
• Must be an art major.
