Ora Gray Stowers Scholarship Fund
Scholarship Information
James and Doris Sink established this scholarship in 2010. The scholarship is in memory of Doris’ mother, Ora Gray Stowers who finished her “Normal Professional” at RU in 1934 and her B.S. from RU in 1942. Doris is a 1974 RU graduate with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies, she obtained a M.S. in Educational Media in 1977. James received a Masters from Radford in Math in 1975 and is retired from the Bland County School Board. Doris’ sister, Phyllis Sink graduated in 1974 with a M.S. in English.
Scholarship Criteria
- Recipient of this scholarship must be a full-time student at Radford University and have completed one academic year.
- Must have a major in Interdisciplinary Studies and seeking licensure to teach in elementary or middle school or a student seeking licensure to teach in secondary schools (grades 6-12) and completing the Secondary Education Licensure Option.
