Virginia Strader Nunn Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship Information

Virginia “Ditty” Strader Nunn was a 1944 Radford graduate who majored in Home Economics. Her sister, Dorothy “Dot” Strader Moore also attended Radford College and is a 1950 graduate who majored in Physical Education.

Mrs. Moore established this scholarship in 2006 in memory of her sister, “Ditty”. She also had another sister, Margaret Strader Bradford of Alexandria, VA., was a 1957 graduate who majored in Education.

Scholarship Criteria

• This scholarship is for an entering freshman or currently enrolled undergraduate student who has a minimum grade point average of 3.5.
• Applying student must have demonstrated leadership qualities and involvement in campus and community activities.
• This scholarship is restricted to citizens of the Unites States of America.
• Recipient may live off campus if involved in student teacher internships.
• Scholarship is renewable contingent upon maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0 with proficient progress toward completion of a degree program.
