Jim Borling Endowed Scholarship in Music Therapy
Scholarship Information
Mr. and Mrs. D. Gregory Rooker endowed this scholarship in 2018 to honor Mr. Jim Borling’s retirement. Professor Borling taught Music Therapy and served Radford University for 36 years. Mr. Borling was very active in his field, having been engaged in the American Music Therapy Association on issues such as unification, moving to a Master’s level entry of practice, and other significant topics within the field of music therapy. He also worked in a variety of countries training music therapists in advanced clinical methods.
Scholarship Criteria
- Upperclassman pursuing a degree in Music Therapy with an undergraduate or graduate overall GPA of 3.0.
- The scholarship may be renewed upon continued eligibility of the above scholarship criteria.
