The H. Douglas & Beatrice M. Covington Endowed Scholarship in the Performing Arts

Scholarship Information

This scholarship was created by Dr. Douglas Covington, who served as president of Radford University from 1995-2005, in appreciation of the University and in memory of his wife, Bea. Dr. Covington. He was instrumental in the development of the SELU Conservancy and the Business and Technology Center. During his ten years as president, Covington was able to achieve higher student enrollment and attract higher caliber students to the University. His wife was a strong advocate of the university, serving as the voice which brought the faculty, staff, community, and friends of Radford together.

Scholarship Criteria

  • Applicants must be a full-time student in the College of Visual and Performing Arts
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
