Teacher Education Scholarship

Scholarship Information

Dr. Gary Ellerman and the faculty of the Education Department established this scholarship in 1986 to provide assistance to deserving students seeking a degree in Education who also demonstrate a need.

Scholarship Criteria

• Recipient must be a full-time student with a declared major in IDSE, IDSM, or IDHI.
• Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Must demonstrate financial need.
• Must be a resident of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Must not be, nor ever have been, on 20 weeks or more of disciplinary probation or suspension from any academic institution of higher learning.
• FAFSA required.
