Verlander Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship Information

This scholarship was established in 2007 by the George W. Verlander and Cornelia M. Verlander Memorial Foundation. The Verlander Foundation offers scholarship assistance to students from Lancaster County, VA. Mr. Verlander felt that higher education was a necessity for success.

Scholarship Criteria

• Must be a full-time undergraduate student enrolled at Radford University. Incoming freshmen or transfer students are eligible.
• Must maintain minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Must not be receiving any other scholarships from the Verlander Foundation and Education Trust.
• Financial need considered, not required.
• Must be a resident or dependent of a resident of Lancaster County, VA.
• Must agree to give a presentation to elementary and/or high school students in Lancaster County, VA, on his/her college experience and the benefits derived from the Verlander Scholarship.
