The Dr. John W. and Dorothy R. Overbey Endowed Scholarship Fund

Scholarship Information

The Dr. John W. and Dorothy R. Overbey Endowed Scholarship was established to benefit deserving students in the College of Business and Economics. Dr. Overbey served as a professor, the Dean of Applied Art and Sciences and Division of Education, and the Vice President of Business Administration at Radford University. When he retired he was honored by the recognition of Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus. Mrs. Overbey was also active in the Radford community and worked as an English teacher and the Director of Guidance at Radford High School.

Scholarship Criteria

• Must be an upper-class student in the College of Business and Economics.
• Must have an overall minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Must demonstrate financial need.
• Must be a resident of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
