Scholarship Information
1997 Lifetime Achievement Award recipients Judge and Mrs. James C. Turk were true ambassadors of Radford University. They gave tirelessly to support and promote Radford and were active Arts Society and Athletic Association members. Judge Turk was a member of the Virginia State Senate and was a U.S. District Judge for the Western District of Virginia. He served on the Athletic Association Advisory Council, and on the Radford University Foundation Board of Directors. Mrs. Turk served on the Arts Society Campaign Committee and on the Board of Visitors. Judge and Mrs. Turk were avid supporters of Radford University for many years. The Turks established this scholarship to assist deserving students at Radford University who are majoring in Criminal Justice.
Scholarship Criteria
- Must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Award renewable if award recipient maintains a 3.0 GPA. Must reapply to be considered.
- Must be a student majoring in Criminal Justice at Radford University.
- Must not be, nor ever have been, on 20 weeks or more of disciplinary probation or suspension from any academic institution of higher learning.
