John R. Ray and Nancy Sullivan Ray Scholarship

Scholarship Information

Dr. John Ray and Radford alumna, Mrs. Nancy Sullivan Ray, established this scholarship to help students from Southwest Virginia. Mrs. Ray earned her B.S. in Business Education from Radford College in 1955. Dr. Ray is a professor at the University of Tennessee and Mrs. Ray taught business education in public schools in Southwest Virginia and Tennessee for many years. Both Mr. and Mrs. Ray received scholarships during their undergraduate work and wanted to give RU students the same opportunity.

Scholarship Criteria

• Applicant must be a full-time student in the Teacher Education Program of the College of Education and Human Development.
• Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Must pursue a career in the teaching profession.
• FAFSA required.
