Virginia Strader Nunn Memorial Scholarship

Virginia “Ditty” Strader Nunn was a 1944 Radford graduate who majored in Home Economics. Her sister, Dorothy “Dot” Strader Moore also attended Radford College and is a 1950 graduate who majored in Physical Education. Mrs. Nunn passed away in 2006. Mrs. Moore established this scholarship in 2006 in memory of her sister, “Ditty”. She also had another sister, Margaret Strader, was a 1924 graduate who majored in Education.

The scholarship is restricted to an entering freshman who qualifies for the Radford University Presidential Scholarship Program, or to a currently enrolled undergraduate student who has a minimum grade point average of 3.5. Applying student must have demonstrated leadership qualities and involvement in campus and community activities. This scholarship is restricted to citizens of the Unites States of America; preference is given to a student from the New River Valley area.
