Carol Morgan Hart Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship Information

Family, friends, and colleagues created this scholarship in honor of Carol Morgan Hart, a Radford University graduate (BS, 1966 and MS, 1983). Carol taught English for 20 years with experiences at Lord Botetourt High School, Rocky Gap High School, Tazewell High School, and Graham High School. Carol graduated from John I. Burton High School in Wise County after attending elementary school in Bedford County. Her daughter teaches English in Bath County. Carol wrote weekly stories about Southwest Virginia as a columnist for five years for roanoke.com (Roanoke Times). In addition, she authored “Facing West: A Conrad Amburger Story” in 2009.

Scholarship Criteria

  • Radford University full-time undergraduate or graduate student in good standing.
  • Maintain a minimum 2.7 GPA.
