Dr. Nicolo LoMascolo Scholarship

Scholarship Information

In honor of Dr. Nicolo LoMascolo, Professor Emeritus of Music, The Christiansburg Presbyterian Church and his friends established this scholarship to assist deserving full-time, upper-class students at Radford University who have declared a major in music. Preference is given to descendants of Dr. LoMascolo, to members of Christiansburg Presbyterian Church who are music majors, or to students who demonstrate financial need. RU students must demonstrate leadership qualities through participation in extracurricular activities, especially music. The establishment of this scholarship was to honor Dr. LoMascolo’s 48 years of service to the Christiansburg Presbyterian Church. Dr. LoMascolo passed away July of 2003.

Scholarship Criteria

• Deserving students must be a full-time rising junior or senior with a declared major in Music.
• Demonstrate academic success through minimum GPA of 3.0 in major.
• 2.5 overall GPA.
• Must not be, nor ever have been, on 20 weeks or more of disciplinary probation or suspension from any academic institution of higher learning.
